Our 9th holiday here and it still feels as special as the very first time we stayed 🖤
We visited all of our favourite beaches and locations; we also went to Fairhaven Water Gardens for the first time which was a lovely discovery.

Unfortunately our last day was a bit of a wash out due to the stormy weather but it was so nice to have a cosy afternoon in the cottage with the fire on relaxing and snoozing.

The dogs, as always have had a fabulous week and are looking forward to a rest next week.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the basket of goodies and the cakes were delicious.

Thank you Paula, Peter and Weasel for everything and we’ll see you next year

Well what can we say? We arrived arrived tired, looking forward to our Norfolk break, what we experienced when we arrived for our first CVC stay was such a warm welcome. It was a wonderful start to our stay and we hadn't even opened the door! The welcome basket was a delight and the surprises in this cottage kept coming. I was abale to catch up with some tv dramas, practice my lie dancing and cook a beautiful meal in the slow cooker. These were wonderful additions so after some exploring, shopping, walks and laughter the cottage helped us unwind us further. Oh adn the bed was a dream. Best hostess at any holiday accommodation we have stayed in with a dog. Complete home from home. Will we be back? Oh yes! Thank you we are leaving refreshed and well Millie she just loved it all. How will I wean her off the doggy biscuits I don't know. She loves them.

I now have a theory that CVC must be some kind of secret time machine- it's the only way I can explain that out week is already at an end, I'm sure we only arrived yesterday! Looking back at my photos though we have visited some great places. Ha Ha Farm at Blofield was a great Halloween experience for children as was Great Yarmouth. We also visited Horsey and just sat and watched the seals for a while and Holkham Hall = very dog friendly in the park etc, as well s enjoying walks o all the local bleaches. As ever though the things that made our holiday so good was the cottage, the welcome basket and the warm welcome form Paula, Peter and Weasel- couldn't ask for more. It's been lovely spending time with you all. See you in March.

5th August Thank you again for letting us stay at Church View Cottage. It really is a lovely cottage and had everything we needed, including towels for Jasper which I had managed to forget to bring. You really have thought of everything. The cottage was perfectly placed and we managed lots of "touristy things" as it was our first visit to Norfolk. The garden is lovely and I enjoyed cups of coffee sitting in the sun. My son said the cottage was "home from home" - but really it's much nicer than home! The welcome basket was very welcome indeed, thank you. It's evident that such thought has gone in to everything you do to make Church View Cottage so welcoming and comfortable for guests. The cottage's group Facebook page was a goldmine of information for us and really helpful for ideas on where to go and what to do. I had hoped to get to Holt Country Park but the beaches were calling the children! I do hope to be able to return to CVC in the future, it's a lovely retreat in a beautiful area. Kirstie and the boys.

We found new places to visit and beaches for Juno but it was just nice to sit back and chill and unwind for a week. See you all next year. Loads of love Wendy, Rob and Juno xx

28th May After waiting 16 months for our greatly appreciated holiday at CVC it hasn't failed to bring us so much joy. We received a lovely warm welcome from Peter, Paula and Weasel. The photos of CVC don't do it justice! The basket of homemade treats is a perfect touch, so very thoughtful. The cottage has been a real home from home for us. So much time has been put in to making it comfortable, love the antique touches around the cottage. We have had a great time exploring Norfolk, need to return as we couldn't fit in everything we wanted to do see and do. Two weeks next time I think!!! Thank you again and until next time. Love Joanne and Gary.

21st May Once again everything was perfect for our return since the pandemic and it was just what we needed to get back on track! We were very lucky with lovely warm weather and was lovely to return to places we had visited before. Paula's welcome was as warm as the first time and the things she puts together so you can enjoy your holiday is second to none. Sheets of places to visit-walk-eat-or just relax are there to read. So helpful. Thank you once again Paula, Peter and Weasel - we will see you again. Love Sue, Keith and Harry.

14th May My third visit to CVC and I drive through the gate my mind stops flitting from one thing to another and what i should or shouldn't have done before leaving home. It's a wonderful feeling! Another very warm welcome. The garden looks lovely and CVC immaculate as ever with yummy looking welcome basket. Time to make a cuppa and eat one, if not two, of Paula's delicious cakes whist sitting in the garden totally relaxed. Monti doing the rounds checking out everything and once satisfied all is well he finds the sunniest corner and lies down and goes to sleep. Bliss! The new wallpaper in my bedroom is lovely and brings the garden in to it and the new mattress gets a 10 from both Monti and me! Likewise the new shower is gorgeous too. I was out and about every day revisiting places and generally relaxing. We certainly made use of the garden this visit as the weather was lovely bar one day but on that day we came back and snuggled in front of the log burner watching films for the rest of the day. Paula and Peter have made CVC a very special place and no wonder people come back and back. It really is like coming home- can't wait for my next visit! Claire and Monti x

7th May Thank you once again for allowing us to spend time in our Happy Place that is Church View Cottage. We have had a lovely week just relaxing and pottering around. Took a new trip to Honing Railway Station to step back in time and imagine what it was like in the early 20th  century. Had a wonderful Sunday roast at The Greyhound at Hickling and another meal their for our anniversary. Highly recommended, great food and friendly staff. Poppylands is great as always and now they've opened up a little onsite shop it's even better for a meander around. Ventured over to Stalham car boot on Friday where there were lots of pitches. As  always Church View Cottage is spotlessly clean and welcoming. Thank you for the welcome basket which is always much appreciated after a long drive. Only five months until our next visit and we will be counting down the days. Much love George, Gill, Merryn and Raymond

30th April  This was our second visit to Church View Cottage and it was just as good as the first. So much so we have booked again for next year! From the huge warm welcome from Paula, Peter and Weasel and the fantastic recommendation you can't go wrong. The cottage is warm and homely and has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. This was our first holiday with two dogs and they both loved it. Lots of exploring done- Bacton Woods, Holt Country Park, North Walsham and Dilham Canal and so much more. We still haven't explored everywhere! I booked this week as a surprise wedding anniversary present it was a secret for over a year! Paula recommended The Recruiting Sergeant for a lovely meal. It was absolutely wonderful. The food and atmosphere was lovely and dog friendly too which was a bonus. Paula, Peter and Weasel - what you have here is amazing. You can see how much and hard work goes into it. We cannot wait to return for our next Church View holidays. Thank you. Lots of love Jemma, Andy, Henry and Misty

23rd April Our second visit to Church View Cottage. We had very good weather and a lovely time with trips to Cart Gap, Happisburgh and Walcott beaches and also Weavers Way at Honing along the disused railway and through the woods. It was so peaceful and we didn't see another person. The cottage is lovely and homely and in such a good spot for the coast and the broads. The welcome basket was delicious, lemon cup cakes were fab and the dogs loved their biscuits. We has a nice meal at the Lessingham Star- huge portions and Chinese delivered from Hong Kong in Stalham. Thank you very much , hope to be back next year. Kathryn, John , Holly and Evie

20th April Our third visit to Church View Cottage, where we really feel at home now. Had fantastic weather- blue skies and sunshine. Warm enough to sit in the garden. Had a fabulous time that came to an end so quickly. But we are back for Twixmas and Easter next year! Highly recommend Martham Paw Ground for a really secure dog field if you have a dog without sufficient recall. We also highly recommend the Chinese takeaway in Stalham- Hong Kong - fabulous food and good vale. Had a great walk along the beach at Mundesley, countryside walk around Neatishead, climbed the Happisburgh Lighthouse and visited the seals at Horsey beach. Also did an 8 mile circular walk from the cottage, along Weavers Way and back. As always Paula, Peter and Weasel were fabulous hosts. Loved our welcome basket. Thank you so much and see you later in the year. Lisa, Pam, Joe and Rosie

16th April Second visit to Church View. Thanks again for making us feel so welcome. Basket of goodies was well received by all! Renovations look great and walk in shower perfect! Really lucky with the weather, fantastic walks: Cottage to Cart Gap. Happisburgh to Cart Gap. Walcott to Bacton, Horsey Windpump. Recommend chips at Walcott, pint at the Poachers and ice cream along the front. "Sandwiches by the Sea" worth a stop at Happisburgh beach/ lighthouse. Mundesley chippy good too. Always nice to come back and get the fire going, very cosy! Dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring the garden and dog treats. Thanks Paula, Peter and Weasel for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. See you soon. Andy, Marie, Kieran , Ewan and the pooches....

9th April We can't believe our week is over already! The weather has been kind to us yet again. We have had some lovely walks along the beaches and over the surrounding countryside. We can't believe we are still finding new "new to us" walks. Church View is definitely our "happy Place" and we are looking forward to our return in November. Maybe we need 3 holidays next year. Sue, Derek Marley and George

2nd April Another great holiday at Church View Cottage. Freezing cold Sunday then Monday start of fabulous weather. Managed to sunbathe in the garden and even spent time sitting on the beach. Lovely walks at Bacton Woods and discovered new routes around the local lanes and villages. Visited Horsey Mill and nearby farm shops. Nice sandy beach at Bacton, accessible all day. Thanks Paula, Peter and Weasel for making this such a special place. See you in June. Sheila, Tony and Ellie

19th March Thank you Paula, Peter and Weasel for another great week on our cottage home from home. As always we have enjoyed walks on the local beaches followed by delicious homemade cakes and doggie treats in front of the cost woodturner. Perfect way to spend the day. After so many visits it's nice when we visit somewhere for the first time and St Benet's abbey was  a great find. The weather has been lovely and I have enjoyed a good read in the garden. Counting down the days until our next visit in October. Diane and Poppy

The coastline and the Broads are outstanding and we enjoyed lots of walks and visits to villages. Winterton on Sea, Bacton and Cromer were all favourites with the dogs. Thank you Michelle, Mike, Declan, Griff and Mabel

19th February We have had a lovely break here- thank you. The dogs have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beaches. I think Bacton and Winterton have been there favourites and seeing seals in the sea at Winterton a real highlight! Even storm Eunice bought a touch of excitement with a brief power cut- thank you for the stove! The welcome basket was lovely- great cakes and the dogs loved  their biscuits. A very enjoyable stay- I will certainly be sharing with friends! Sharon, Martyn, Jess and Rommell.

15th February Thank you so much Paula, Peter and Weasel. We can fully see why this cottage is normally booked up- a real home from home! We had a great time and fitted so much in. We would recommend a visit to St Benet's Abbey on the Broads.  Our trip there was a bit wild weather wise as it's very exposed and in the middle of nowhere. The winds were up to 40mph! We enjoyed pottering about Horning and went to the very newly reopened Staithe and Willow Café and Bistro. Very dog friendly. They were trying out their pip cakes on dogs - Bonny absolutely approved. Thanks so much for the fabulous welcome basket. Gorgeous cakes and cheesy bones for Bonny. Jo, Paul, Sam and Bonny.

12th February A beautiful, quirky cottage. We enjoyed the delicious welcome basket and cost fire. Great access to lovely beaches ( we walked 50 miles!) and tasty food at many pit stops. Harriet and Helen.

2nd January Our 2nd visit to Church View . Yet again we've had a lovely, relaxing time in a charming, cosy environment. We loved the welcome hamper, particularly the pear cake and Rosie loved the cheesy biscuit wreath. Wonderful walks on the beaches and in the local woods. Weather was a bit  damp and grey but the cosy cottage was always here on our return. Had a peaceful break which was just what we needed. No fireworks which Rosie appreciated as where we live they go off constantly at this time of year. Loved the new cottage layout since our previous stay. Thank you for all the wonderful personal touches- particularly Rosie being the star of the December calendar! We can't recommend you more highly- just fabulous hosts and cottage. Lisa, Pam and Rosie

25th September So lovely to get back to our favourite Norfolk retreat after nearly 2 years of Covid pandemic and numerous lockdowns! We arrived, as always, to a lovely welcome and smiley faces. The cottage is everything you could possibly want, exceptionally clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We have had a great week even though the sun didn't shine too much. There is so much to do within a small radius of the cottage, boat trips, beaches, country walks and all surprisingly quiet. Poor Lola has been exhausted every evening with such a variety of experiences but especially running on the fantastic beaches. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and always being available for advice and recommendations. We will be back. Thank you Alan, Sue and Lola.

They were so friendly and very thorough with Jack, would highly recommend to anyone. It has been a lovely relaxing break away and hope to see you both soon. Love Mary, Dave and Jack.

14th August My favourite was the bed because it was in the wall and I was so cosy. And the window between the bedroom and living room is fun because you can pretend to go downstairs and it makes us laugh. I love Weasel. Jess ( aged8) Happisburgh and Mundesley beaches are both lovely to visit. Thank you for a lovely stay. The welcome basket was fab and much appreciated! Kirsty and Roger.

31st July Fifth fabulous stay at Church View. Paula and Peter have been great as usual with information on places to visit. The cottage and garden are stunning and as always the cottage is so very clean. We hired a boat from Whispering Reeds for a morning we all has such fun driving it. Dogs are allowed on too. Beaches, woods and Vicarage Gardens in the area are so nice and all within a short distance. Poachers Pocket, The Lighthouse Inn and Small Sticks Cafe all serve lovely food. 17th July Had a lovely relaxing week, gone too quickly. As soon as we turned into CVC it felt like home- returning to an old friend. From the lovely flowers to the warm welcome to the lovely welcome basket it was just as you hope a holiday cottage to be. Clean, well equipped and smelt so fresh, reassuring in these Covid times. Can't say we've done a lot, the enclosed filed we hired every day has been wonderful for our reactive rescue dog, Bacton beach is a firm favourite. Many thanks to you both. See you next year, Vicky, Tony, Tilly and Milo.

3rd July What a wonderful week I've had. The welcome, the cottage, the goodies left for my arrival and besides the rather dismal weather it was great. The cottage is SO comfortable and I felt "at home£ immediately and so did Monti. The garden is lovely and hopefully next year  we will be able to lounge in it more. Thank you so much Peter, Paula and Weasel. Can't wait for next May. Clare and Monti.

19th June Delicious home made goodies on arrival for us and Ollie- thank you! So pleased that we were able to make it back here after lockdown delayed our visit. As always it is a delight to return here. Paula and Peter have thought of everything you could possible need in the cottage and it was spotless on arrival. Total privacy and quiet in the cottage 9 except when Ollie gets over excited and barks!) Yet Paula and Peter are easily available if needed. We had hot weather so tended to go out in the mornings and have chilled afternoons at the cottage. All the hard work Paula and Peter put in to the garden has created a pretty and peaceful garden which Ollie loves to play in. Great location for a holiday as offers rural seclusion, plus lots of lovley beaches, woodland walks and other places to explore only a short distance away. Bacton beach is lovely and sandy. Ollie enjoyed paddling in the sea and plenty of space there which helps when you have a dog who can be nervous. Thank you so much Andrea, Dave and Ollie.

12th June First timers!! What a wonderful welcome. We have really enjoyed our week here ( and not because of the gorgeous weather!) Yummy welcome basket full of eggs, jam, bread, cakes and biscuits for the dogs, made a fantastic start to our holiday. Cottage is lovely and well situated as well as being well equipped with anything you could possibly need. Paula and Peter always on hand if needed and gave us lots of advice on which beaches/walks were suitable with the dogs. We have spent an awful lot of time in the garden. It is so pretty, relaxing ,safe for the dogs and peaceful. This is just what we needed to unwind with all the stress of Covid. So happy we snapped up the cancellation. Already looking forward to visiting again. Thanks for a superb time. Virtual hugs Niki, John, Lorenzo and Sandy

However we feel very lucky to be the first of many coming back to enjoy Church View Cottage. We have had a lovely week and the weather has been very kind and we have enjoyed visiting some old favourites- the seals at Horsey ( lots of them), Cart Gap, Sea Palling and Bacton beaches. We have also found some new places to explore. Coltishall is lovely to wander around and we had a lovely day there with Paula and Weasel. Dollies Bakery is highly recommended for lunch. 26.9.2020 Thank you Paula, Peter and Weasel for making our 3rd visit to Church View Cottage so special! The welcome basket was delicious and the dogs loved their biscuits. We have felt very safe with the precautions put in place, both here at the cottage and out and about the area. The cafes we have been to have had covid precautions in place and everyone has been following  the rules. We have had a lovely time and the weather has been very kind to us for most of the week. The dogs have loved their walks on the local beaches. We have loved exploring new areas we hadn't been to before such as Holt, Blakeney, Overstrand and the stunning beach at Gorleston. Thank you for the recommendations Paula. But most of all. thank you for caring and being so helpful and supportive when things didn't go quite as planned ( car breakdown). We have loved our visits to your beautiful cottage. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Carole, John, Ellie and Snowy. xx

19.9.2020 Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage, we have had a super time. The weather has been wonderful which has been an added bonus. It is our first time in Norfolk and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is really comfortable with everything needed for a good holiday. The beds are very comfy. We have felt really safe staying here, with the Covid situation and everything is spotless. We would love to return some time in the future. The cakes and dog biscuits were lovely. Mary, Brian, Karen and doggies.

12.9.2020 Yet again another fantastic relaxing and comfortable week at Church View. Thank you Paula and Peter for all that you do in making this such a great place to stay, particularly during this difficult time that we are all going through with Covid. Some restrictions with what we could do9 pubs, cafes etc) BUT Norfolk is still a brilliant place to visit..... See you next September. Martin, Jeanette, Daniel, Ralph Finn and Isla (the houndies)

5.9.2020 So happy to be back at Church View Cottage after 4 years! We've had lots of walks on the beach, a fabulous trip on The Queen of the Broads at Wroxham. We visited Timeline Antiques Centre at North Walsham and went to the local farm shop and butchers. But the highlight has been relaxing in the cottage and peaceful garden. Such a fabulous break from the madness back home! Thank you so much Peter, Paula and Weasel for another fantastic holiday. We really don't want to go home. Hopefully see you soon. Stuart, Louise and Boris Green xxx

We truly love staying here and spending quality time. The only downfall is we only stay for one week. Dotty had a great time with Weasel. Can't wait to come back next year and celebrate our 60th! Paula, Gordon, Harry and Dotty.

14.8.2020 First visit and we had a lovely time. Dogs loved walking along the beach and exploring. Chocolate cupcakes were lovely! Nim, Shayne and the girls.

08.08.2020 Our first visit here and we had a lovely time. Paula, and Peter are lovely and truly do everything they can to make sure the guests are happy. We visited seals at Horsey. It was wonderful to see them bobbing up and down. The Mississippi boat trip was great too!  The beaches were lovely and sandy and not crowded along the dog friendly area. Thank you Paula, Peter and Weasel we have really enjoyed our stay. Julie, Ben, Ryan, Elsie and Dougie (the cavapoo). P.S The welcome basket of goodies were yummy.

25.7.2020 It has been a few years since we visited Church View Cottage, so it was lovely to see Paula, Peter and Weasel once again. Like always, they gave us a lovely welcome with a gorgeous sponge cake, cream biscuits and home made doggy biscuits. Billie and Humphrey got on well with Weasel and they enjoyed playing and running around the garden. Fortunately the weather has been dry and sunny which was good as our granddaughter came with us this time and has had a brilliant time. On two occasions we went to The Kings Head  Hotel at Wroxham. We have visited Sheringham and had a wonderful time on the steam train. We also went to Happisburgh and Sea Palling beach. We saw the seals at Horsey beach which was amazing. We also went to Horning and went on the Mississippi boat, which was great. The skipper gave his commentary all about the Broads and the beautiful houses we past on the way, on the way back he played relaxing jazz music. Everything about our holiday was brilliant. It has been a great holiday, Thanks to Paula, Peter and Weasel for making our holiday brilliant. We hope to be back soon. Love from Mary, Dave, Madison, Billie and Humphrey. xxxx

18.7.2020 Well first guests after re-opening and I can say Paula and Peter have gone above and beyond to make everything safe for us. Weather has been very kind to us and the dogs. Poppylands, The Lighthouse Inn, Smallsticks café, Poachers Pocket and Fairhaven Garden to name just a few. Also went on Ross's wildlife boat trip at Horsey with friends and six dogs, great fun. Paula and Peter are so welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble even when we broke the washing line twice! Love it so much we have booked another two weeks next year. Love Lynne, Julie, Topy, Kizzy and Alfie xx

COVID 19 LOCKDOWN 1

9.3 2020 Thank you all for another brilliant holiday at your lovely cottage. It's been a lovely relaxing break from all the madness going on around the world. We could walk on deserted beaches for miles and come back to a warm and cosy cottage to have a glass of wine by the fire. It was lovely to stay a little longer this time, the only down side is want to go home even less than normal - it really feels like home! Thanks again and see you in November. Diane and Poppy x

3.2.2020 Annette and myself have had a great 4 days in this lovely, comfy cottage. We've walked every day and have seen some lovely beaches and sea along the way to Mundesley. We had a very tasty lunch at the Royal Hotel and highly recommend it. We have had varied weather but mostly sunny skies and little rain and it was a pleasure to come back to this lovely cottage to re-energise for the next day. Sad to go but we've got lovely memories to take back home! Patricia x

22.2.2020 Fabulous time as ever. The alterations are great, bedroom even cosier. Took the girls to the beach and the woods but mainly chilled out. Thanks Paula, Peter and Weasel for making this place so  special. Sheila, Tony , Lola and Ellie

5.1 2020 We have had numerous holidays at Church View Cottage but this has been our first winter break. As always we were welcomed with big smiles, yummy cakes, biscuits for the dogs and several other goodies. Our short break has been so relaxing and coming back to the warm and cosy cottage after a bracing walk on the beaches has been delightful. We got to use the log burner big time this holiday and it is simply mesmerising gazing in to the flames whilst sipping on a glass of prosecco....bliss! Oh, if only we could stay here forever!! Alas, our time to leave has come all too quickly but we will be back to test out the new revamped look. Thank you so much Paula and Peter for your wonderful, never ceasing hospitality and considerate thought for your guests. We hope 2020 is a brilliant year for you. All our love, Gill, George, Merryn and Raymond.

Twixmas Our first visit to Church View Cottage and it won't be our last! Paula, Peter and Weasel made us feel very welcome. The weather was kind to us, staying dry, even with a glimpse of the sun! We had lovely walks on Happisburgh beach, Cart Gap and Bacton Woods. We also visited Horsey beach to see the seals-  a lovely experience and not too busy. We had dinner at The |Lighthouse Inn one evening and was made to feel very welcome, even with our dog Rosie. We are off to the Star Inn tonight, New Year's Eve for dinner! The cottage is lovely and cosy, with everything you need. Great enclosed garden for the dog, beautiful clear skies, so you can see the stars without any light pollution. Looks lovely with the thoughtful decorations. We thoroughly enjoyed our welcome hamper too! Thank you so much! Love Lisa, Pam and Rosie. xxx

Christmas 2019 Thank you both for making Christmas such a wonderful time. Christmas day was a bright sunny day and Bailee had a great time playing with the other dogs on the beach. The cottage was great. Many thanks for the Christmas decorations. See you again in the near future. Frank, Barbara and Bailee.

16.11.2019 This was our fifth holiday in Church View Cottage but our first time staying here in the winter. The weather has been very kind to us and we had an absolutely fantastic week! We have been on long beach walks every single day. My fit bit is showing 105,000 steps and 42 miles! Our beach walks included Wells Next The Sea, Walcott, Cart Gap, Happisburgh and Winterton on Sea where we saw the seals. It has been lovely to come back to the cottage in the evenings to get cosy by the fire with a glass of wine..... Thank you so much for the super welcome basket of goodies, the boys especially enjoyed their cheesy biscuits. Hope to see you next year.... Alison. Jon, Bertie and Jack.

2.11.2019 We have had a lovely week although the weather has been a bit rough at times. Dogs have enjoyed their walks on various beaches and we have enjoyed meals at local pubs in Lessingham and the White Horse at Brancaster Staithe courtesy of Norfolk Restaurant Week- great idea! Cottage very comfortable and welcoming. Many thanks to Paula and  Peter for help and advice. Greatest bonus has been the quiet which has saved our collies sanity away from the fireworks! Hope to be back sometime. Love from Emma, Doris Taz, Pepper and Merit.

27.10.2019 Oh Weasel it's not looking good- mum is packing things in bags and saying it's tie to go home! I've seen it before - it doesn't matter how much I sit and sulk in the chair we still have to leave. We have both been so happy here this week. We've had lots of sunny walks on beautiful beaches and so many friendly dogs to speak to. My first visit to How Hill to walk by the river and the Autumn colours in the secret garden were beautiful. My favourite day was my play date with Weasel at Winterton, a run on that lovely sandy beach and then a tasty sausage roll in Poppy's Cafe (very well named I thought!) The perfect day to every day was coming back to our lovely homely cottage to one of Paula's home made dog biscuits ( mum enjoyed the cakes too) and the restful sleep in front of the wood burner. So tell me how can going back to work be better than all that, I just don't understand! My only consolation is that mum tells me we are coming back in a few months time. So I look forward to seeing you again then, Weasel, Paula and Peter. Thanks for a brilliant week. Poppy and Diane xx

26.10.2019  Thank you Paula, Peter and Weasel for our 10th fabulous holiday. The cottage with its recent improvements is even better if that's possible. After circumstances keeping us away for 12 months we did wonder that we were wearing rose - tinted glasses, but we have to say it's better than we remembered. Thanks once again for your brilliant hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again very soon. Lots of love Sheila, Tony, Ellie and Lola xx

19.10.2019 Thank you Paula, Pete and Weasel for another great week at Church View Cottage, the cottage was immaculate as usual and although the weather wasn't great we had a great time searching around the antique shops, walking on the beach and for the first time visiting another side of Norfolk we're not used to seeing Great Yarmouth. We had some lovely meals out meaning no cooking at night for me, a great break. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again Chris, Cheryl and Plum

12.10.2019  Another great week here, our fourth year and still loving every minute. The basket of goodies went down well for us as well as the dogs. Have had some lovely walks on the beaches. The cottage is so comfortable and well set out and the garden is just right for the dogs and us. Paula gave us so much information about the area which helped us choose the right beaches for our great walks with the dogs. The weather has been good, we have been so lucky. Would definitely recommend Church View Cottage to our friends and family at it is ideal and every time we went out we looked forward to getting back to the cottage. A lovely 21st birthday surprise on arrival for our son Nathan was truly appreciated and such a special and kind thought, along with all the goodies in the welcome pack. As you know, we absolutely love this little part of England and have visited frequently. Thankfully we have visited most of the sites before so haven't felt the need to charge out every day. It's been lovely to just relax in this current heatwave. This weeks consistently high temperatures in excess of 30 degrees has not been great for the dog but we have thoroughly enjoyed our early morning and late evening walks along the beaches. We have spent time at Happisburgh, Bacton Woods, Horsey, Waxham and Winterton either walking on the beach or on the dunes. Also on our behalf too - a welcoming and comfortable place to stay, a lovely garden , amazing light in the morning, very comfy beds......Everywhere we went, everywhere! dogs were more than welcome to the extent that it seemed a disadvantage not to have one with you when walking in to a pub, cafe or shop. We also enjoyed three hours on a small boat- exploring the Broads from Wroxham down to Horning and back. Several dog friendly cafes in Horning- we recommend The Gallery. We have had the  hottest week of the year, which combined with the lovely cottage and welcoming Paula, Peter and Weasel as combined to make it a truly relaxing holiday. You should try the take away chips from Smallsticks Cafe, at Cart Gap on Friday evenings ( 4-7pm). Very nice! Ron and Linda and Marnie.

20.5.17 We had a lovely relaxing week. Thank you for all the goodies. The dogs loved the biscuits and fish treats. We loved the cake (delicious) and the flowers. Even when the weather wasn't very kind we were comfy in the cottage. Thank you Jan, Mick, Lucy, Mac, Twizzle and Ozz. P.S Ozz sends his apologies if we made a bit too much noise occasionally.

13.5.17 Thanks for a lovely welcome Paula, Peter and Weasel. The goodies were a lovely idea, beautiful cottage, everything that you needed, a home from home. Excellent location , beautiful beaches, especially Sea Palling and Horsey where you can see the seals laying on the beach. Also a little further Wells next to Sea, the beach is to die for. All dog friendly. Excellent pubs especially the Star inn. Lovely welcome. Paula is very knowledgeable about the area. Thanks for a lovely week. David, Sue, Pat and Ruby, Rufus and Ralf.

29.4.17 Thank you Paula and Peter for your welcoming hospitality. We agree with everything said previously. Even the weather has been kind to us! We have been amazed at how friendly everyone has been, not something we get at home! Thanks again Shirley, Tom, Scamp says WOOF!

22.4.17 Had a very relaxing week. Thank you very much for all the goodies. Cottage very clean and well equipped. All going well we will see you next year. Ray, Jeanne, Kess and Wren.

15.4.17 Lovely relaxing week, as ever delighted to be here. Paula, Peter and Weasel are so welcoming. Cottage was lovely and warm, well stocked with Paula's goodies! Brilliant dog friendly beaches. Thank you for having us, we'll see you again next year. Lorraine, Dave, Charlie and Boo.

8.4.17 Lovely week, lovely cottage, enjoyed by all. Lots of walks with our dogs. Stiffkey Marshes to Wells harbour and back was a highlight and one we didn't get lost on! Really liked Horning and The Swan Inn made us all welcome including biscuits for the dogs. Helen, Mike, Monty and Hamish.

1.4.17 Had another fab week relaxing, walking on the beaches and chilling in the garden. Thanks Paula and Peter for a beautifully clean cottage, great goodies and warm welcome. See you in 9 weeks!  Sheila, Tony, Lola and Ellie.

25.3.17 many thanks Paula and Pete for our third stay at Church View Cottage; great time as always. Good to see that Ailsa was friendlier to Weasel this time. Weather has been good and have made the most of beach walking- and the ride on the Mississippi steamer at Horning. Thanks for the welcome basket of goodies. Ailsa loved the peanut butter biscuits. Hope to see you all again soon; will keep or eyes open for any more cancellations! Thanks Pat and Ailsa.

18.3.17 Thanks for a very comfortable and well equipped cottage, a home from home for a week. We had great weather for us and the two dogs Alfie and Millie. I enjoyed my bike riding around the quiet lanes of Norfolk and this was a great base to explore from. Enjoyed some of the circular walks and dog friendly pubs, cafes etc in the vicinity. Walking along side the Dilham canal and Honing Loch was really peaceful and we were lucky enough to have most of Holkham beach to ourselves to throw the ball for the dogs. Sea Palling is also a great beach with miles of sand. If the don't mind the smell of the seals then Horsey Gap is a good walk too. Thanks Paula, Peter for dog goodies, cake ,jam, bread and eggs, very tasty. Chris, Carol, Alfie and Millie ( N.Yorks)

11.3.17 Beautiful cottage. So comfy, clean and well equipped. Thanks Paula and Peter for the great welcome basket with homemade goodies for us ( John and Pauline) and our dogs ( Monty  and Woody) We are very familiar with this area of the country, the sandy beaches and the feeling of space and peace. We brought our friend Eric and he loved it here too. Recommended beaches Cart Gap to Happisburgh, Waxham and Horsey. We saw hundreds of seals at Horsey. Loved the Star at Lessingham, Gunton Arms and Hill House. A  new place for us was Fairhaven Woodland and Water garden = fabulous. Also went to Sheringham. Try the fish and chips at Bacton! Thanks for everything Paula and Peter! John, Pauline, Eric, Monty and Woody.

4.3.2017 A great week in a lovely  cottage. This was our 7th visit to Norfolk in 3 years but our first to Church View Cottage and hopefully won't be our last! The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break but is also well situated for exploring. Always highly recommend the Hill House pub in Happisburgh for its welcome for both dogs and humans - in that order! And its food and beer. The beach huts at the Dunes Cafe in Winterton are a great idea - had a yummy cake there after a sunny walk along the almost deserted beach. Thank you Paula and Peter for the warm welcome, the lovely goodies and for providing a perfect cottage. Sorry to easel for Holly's barking! Anne, John, Holly and Bracken.

25.2.2017 Lovely cottage- so clean and well equipped. As a non dog owner I could not notice any smell of previous dogs. Lovely warm and comfy bedding too. Paula and Peter were very considerate towards my two year old. We had a lovely wander and cake at Wroxham, Happisburgh and Sea Palling. A lovely few days away. Sarah, Charlie. Thank you Paula, Peter and Weasel for another fantastic holiday. Diane and Poppy  x

13.2.2017 Very honored to be the first guests of the year! Absolutely spotless cottage and the smell of new carpet was lovely. The homemade brownies were scoffed within a day and the dogs loved the biscuits. The weather was so cold that we read and played games in front of the woodburner, only venturing out for a bracing walk at Sea Palling and a delicious Sunday lunch at The Star. We were really impressed with the food and how the staff made such a fuss of the children and the dogs. Thank you very much for having us. Hannah, Kelvin, Mollie, Nell, Todd and Titch.

3.1.2017 Happy new year from Sam and Alvin. We had a lovely time at Church View, peanut butter cookies were nom, nom. We had a long run at Sea Palling and met lots of friends. Our humans particularly liked the log burner, comfy beds and bottle of fizzy stuff, it made them laugh a lot. Thank you for the supply of logs. Lots of love Sam and Alvin and human entourage of Sharon, Alan, Gemma and Sean.

Paul, Trish and Millie.
